About, Yosemite Photographs
As a avid rock climber, I moved to Yosemite in 1972 and have lived here ever since. Living in Yosemite has offered me many opportunities such as rock climbing, hiking, camping, kayaking, and skiing. These adventures brought me to many unique areas of the park that sparked my interest in photography. I began to carry a camera on every excursion to capture images of climbers, skiers, and sunsets from various locations off the beaten trail.

Sunset on Mt Conness, Yosemite
Another photo I took from the 1980's showing the alpenglow we used to get. Sunsets like this are far and few between these days due to the central valley smog. This photo has not been altered in any way, scanned Fuji Vlevia 35mm slide.

Sunset on Half Dome, Yosemite
I took this shot sometime in the 80's and it shows the alpenglow that we used to get at sunsets. In recent years it seems that we rarely get alpenglow as I think the smog in the Central Valley cuts off the last light.
