Sunset on Half Dome from Glacier Point on 3/22/08. It was not a very spectacular sunset but after skiing 11 miles it was very rewarding. Glacier Point is a very different place in the winter as you pretty much have the place to yourself.

I took this shot sometime in the 80's and it shows the alpenglow that we used to get at sunsets. In recent years it seems that we rarely get alpenglow as I think the smog in the Central Valley cuts off the last light.
